UK Contains Potato Ring Rot OutbreakLONDON - Feb 23/04 - SNS -- An outbreak of potato ring rot on a farm in Wales has been contained and no other farms have grown or received infected stocks, says the United Kingdom's agriculture department. In total, over 165,000 potato tubers have been tested during the outbreak. On the outbreak farm, one stock of the Provento variety and one stock of a Provento/Almera admixture were found to be infected.
