Turkey Hatchery Softens in FebruaryWASHINGTON - Feb 13/04- SNS -- Turkey hatchery activity was down from earlier levels as of February 1, according to the latest USDA data, with 28.1 million turkey eggs in incubators, down 8% from last year. Eggs in incubators were 1% below the January 2004 total of 28.4 million. Regional changes from the previous year were: East North Central, down 11%; West North Central, down 2%; North and South Atlantic, down 17%; South Central, down 9%; and West, up 3%.
