U.K. Pulse Trade Faces Tight SituationLONDON - Feb 3/04 - SNS -- Britain's pulse industry continues to struggle with shortages of good quality product to meet the sales opportunities opening up in the Pacific Rim and Middle East, reports the British Edible Pulse Association (BEPA). Reviewing markets for UK pulses, BEPA said the situation is most frustrating for marrowfat and broadbean shippers, who also fear supplies will be tight across the 2004-05 marketing year because of keen competition for available land from other crops.
