CWB Extends EPO DeadlinesWINNIPEG - Jan 29/04 - SNS -- The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) has extended the deadline for signing an Early Payment Option (EPO) contract to March 31. These contracts are based upon 90% of the PRO; and are available on wheat, durum and selected barley. The deadline for locking in the value and discount for the EPO has also been extended until March 31, 2004. Farmers who have previously signed an EPO contract but have not selected a value and discount have until this date to lock them in. The CWB will lock in all unpriced contracts at the value and discount available on March 31, 2004. The 80% EPO option for wheat will no longer be available after January 30, 2004. Farmers who selected the 80% option have until January 30, 2004 to lock in a value and a discount.
