Russia Processes 289,500 MT Sugar Beets
KIEV - Jan 28/04 - APK -- Since the start of the year Russia's five sugar processing plants have handled 289,500 metric tons (MT) of sugar beet and produced 26,600 MT of sugar, says Soyuzrossakhar, the country's sugar industry association.
As of January 21 the sugar beet digestion at acceptance since the start of the year constituted on average 15.81 %, sugar content of the chips - 13.32 %, sugar yield - 9.05 %, sugar content in molasses - 3.05 %.
