In other trade news: Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities bought 240,000 MT of U.S. and Australian wheat for Februdary 156 to 29 delivery. It paid the Australian Wheat Board U.S. $154 MT for 120,000 MT cargoes of standard soft white wheat and $166.75 MT for 60,000 MT of hard white wheat. It paid Louis Dreyfus $153.90 for 60,000 MT of U.S. soft white wheat. Algeria's OAIC confirmed it bought soft white wheat last week, but would not provide details of the transactions. Exporters say the government buyer had offers in hand for 75,000 MT of soft white wheat for Jna-Feb shipment at prices between U.S. $220 and 225 MT CFR (cost and freight). At the sme time, the OAIC said it does not expect to be in the market for durum wheat for several months on account of a good local harvest.
