U.S. Cotton Ginned up 7% from 2002-03WASHINGTON - Jan 23/04 - SNS -- Cotton ginnings are running 7% ahead of last season, with the quantity of bales processed reaching 17.4 million as of January 15. In releasing the latest data, the USDA revealed there were strong output gains in the states of North Carolina, Georgia and Louisiana; while Texas and California reported relatively large declines.
