Fresh and Frozen Fruit Inventories SlipWASHINGTON - Jan 21/04 - SNS -- Fresh and frozen fruit inventories in cold storage in the United States finished 2003 down from previous year levels, according to the latest USDA stocks numbers. Annual declines were recorded for fresh apples, while fresh pears advanced. Total frozen fruit inventories, on the other hand, dropped 5% below year earlier levels to 997 million pounds. The primary advancers in the frozen fruit category were apricots, blackberries, cherries, and grapes; while decliners included frozen apples, blueberries, boysenberries, raspberries and strawberries.
