South Africa Bean Estimate SlipsPRETORIA - Jan 20/04 - SNS -- South Africa's dry edible bean seeded area appears to be lower than initially expected, according to the latest data from the South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS). The government reporting agency pegged actual seeded area for the summer crop at 56,700 hectares, up from the 51,500 hectares sown last year, but well below the areas grown in 1999 and 2000.
