Manufactured Egg Use Drops 6%
WASHINGTON - Jan 16/04 - SNS -- The quantity of eggs used by food manufacturers dropped 6% in November to 141 million dozen, according to the latest USDA data.
During calendar year 2003, shell eggs broken totaled 1.67 billion dozen, down 4% from the 1.73 billion dozen broken in 2002. Total edible liquid from eggs broken in 2003 was 2.13 billion pounds, down 2% from 2002.
