Strong Field Pea DisappearanceWASHINGTON - Jan 12/04 - SNS -- Field pea harvests in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, and Washington totalled 5.20 million cwt or 235,962 metric tons (MT) for 2003, up 4% from the November 1 forecast and 23% above 2002, according to the USDA's final crop production report for the 2003 growing season. Area harvested, at 328,500 acres, is 2% above the previous forecast and 17% above last year.
