Red Split Lentils Enjoy Good Demand
VANCOUVER - Jan 9/04 - STAT -- International markets for red split lentils continue to face pressure on account of the Turkish lira revaluation during the last quarter of 2003 and constant food aid demands from Iraq.
The UK's Fuerst Day Lawson notes Egypt, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are all still buying on the spot market for which the only supplier is Turkey.
