USDA Tenders for 2,180 MT Field Peas
KANSAS CITY - Jan 8/04 - STAT -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office is seeking offers of 2,180 metric tons (MT) of whole green and/or yellow peas for shipment as food aid during February.
The request was not unexpected because of yesterday's announcement a similar quantity of whole yellow peas was not purchased on PL-480 food aid tender invitation 014. The USDA said 160 MT were not offered and 2,020 MT of yellow pea offers were rejected on account of price.
