USDA Trims Peanut Harvest EstimateWASHINGTON - Oct 10/03 - SNS -- This year's peanut crop is now expected to total 3.95 billion pounds, down 1% from last month but up 19% from 2002, according to the latest USDA crop production estimates. Area for harvest is expected to total 1.28 million acres, unchanged from the September estimate but down 2% from 2002.
