14% Drop in SAF Raisin Crop ExpectedPRETORIA - Oct 1/03 - SNS -- Raisin production is expected to drop 14% in South Africa this year to 34,900 metric tons (MT) because more grapes were sent to the fresh markets and wine processing. Thompson seedless output is estimated down by 65% from last year, whilst unbleached Sultana is expected to increase by more than double (250%), reports the U.S. agricultural attache here.
