VANCOUVER - Aug 1/13 - STAT -- Canadian No 3 Eston Lentil markets finished the 2012-13 marketing year with prices offered to growers inching 1% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 3 Eston Lentil was CDN$15.89 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $16.05 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $17.13 per cwt in June, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $14.70 per cwt in August.
