Lentil Markets Ease

VANCOUVER - Jul 13/13 - SNS -- International lentil markets were generally weaker in spot shipping positions as offers from growers and processors moved ahead of the short term needs of the market.

Many European traders appear to be taking their summer holidays in July instead of waiting until August, while buyers in the Middle East are less active because of Ramadan observations.

Markets are also anticipating the availability of new crop product, which is forcing spot and new crop markets to begin to converge.
