Lentils Strength on Demand
VANCOUVER - Mar 15/13 - SNS -- Lentil markets continued to strengthen during the past week against ongoing demand from the Indian subcontinent and other destinations.
Market sentiment was helped by news at least 28,500 metric tons (MT) of lentils have been loaded to bulk conventional vessels so far this month.
This lifts bulk conventional shipments reported by the CGC to 87,500 MT, down from 137,430 between August and March of the previous marketing year. More bulk lentils are expected to loaded in March and April.
