Lackluster Week in Lentils

VANCOUVER - Feb 1/13 - SNS -- Lentil markets continued to register a relatively lackluster performance with offers from growers remaining relatively close to the short term needs of the market.

The absence of buying support was evident in underlying weakness in grower bids in western Canada, with bids for the various classes and grades finishing the week unchanged to lower.

Most of the attention in markets is on field peas, chickpeas and dry edible beans because they currently offer a more dynamic trading environment for all market participants.
