MELBOURNE - Aug 1/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

WARNINGS:
Storm Warning for coastal waters Cape Naturaliste to Albany.
Gale Warning from Jurien Bay to Cape Naturaliste and Albany to Israelite Bay.
Strong Wind Warnings Kalbarri to Jurien Bay and Israelite Bay to Eucla.
Severe Weather Warning for the SW District late today and the remainder of the
Lower SW for tonight.
Warning for Sheep Farmers in the SW Land Division for overnight Saturday and
early Sunday. 

STATE FORECAST
SW Land Division: Isolated showers in the Lower SW. Showers increasing towards
evening then extending into the Division overnight. Some heavy falls and local
thunderstorms in southern parts overnight. Strengthening NW winds reaching gale
force about SW coastal parts later today.
Remainder of the state fine.
PERTH AND METROPOLITAN:
Severe Weather Warning for tonight.
A few showers, mostly later today. Showers increasing tonight and becoming heavy
at times with a possible thunderstorm. N/NW winds strengthening and reaching
gale force on the coast later.
