U.S. Durum Stocks Down 28%
WASHINGTON - Jun 29/12 - SNS -- Old crop Durum wheat stocks in all positions on June 1, 2012 totaled 25.6 million bushels, down 28% from a year ago, according to the latest stocks in all positions report from the USDA.
On-farm stocks, at 15.2 million bushels, are down 31% from June 1, 2011. Off-farm stocks totaled 10.4 million bushels, down 22% from a year ago. The March - May 2012 indicated disappearance of 10.2 million bushels is down 51% from the same period a year earlier.
