Sugarcane Area up 2%WASHINGTON - Jun 29/12 - SNS -- Harvested area of sugarcane in the United States for sugar and seed is forecast at 892,000 acres in the United States this year, up 2% from a year ago, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates for 2012. Growers in Louisiana reported that growing conditions have been more favorable than last year.
