Australia -- Queensland Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Jul 2/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. IDQ1070001 WARNING SUMMARY No warnings. STATE FORECAST for Thursday Cloudy with some early drizzle about the southern Darling Downs and Granite Belt. Fine otherwise apart from isolated showers developing along eastern Cape York Peninsula during the day, also about the Gold Coast late in the day. Moderate mostly SW to SE winds, fresh and gusty at times about the southeast. EXTENDED OUTLOOK Fine conditions are expected across most of the state over the next few days. Isolated showers about the eastern Peninsula coast should continue. A few showers are also possible about exposed parts of the SE coast during Friday as a high pressure system moves into the southern Tasman Sea. Isolated showers should extend through to most coastal parts on Saturday as the high gradually drifts further east with SE winds along the entire east coast.
