Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Jul 2/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warnings Nil. Weather Pattern An area of low pressure over northern Victoria will gradually weaken during Thursday. A strong high pressure system well south of the Bight will move slowly northeastwards to be located south of Tasmania on Thursday night then just southeast of Victoria on Friday night. A weakening cold front will brush the west coast overnight Friday then another front will reach western Victoria late Sunday. Victoria Tonight and Thursday: Isolated showers, mainly in the north and east. Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the north. Morning fog patches. Local early inland frosts then a cool to mild and partly cloudy day with light northeast to southeast winds. Friday: Isolated showers near the Gippsland coast and in the southwest later. Morning fog and frost patches inland then a cool to mild and partly cloudy day with light winds, tending northerly in the west. Saturday: Isolated showers in the southwest. Morning fog and frost patches in the east. Cool to mild day. Sunday: Morning fogs in the east. Patchy rain developing later in the west. Cool to mild.
