Australia -- Queensland Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Jul 1/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. IDQ1070001 WARNING SUMMARY No warnings. STATE FORECAST for the rest of Wednesday and Thursday Cloudy over the southeast of the state with scattered showers clearing about the Wide Bay and Central coasts by early afternoon. Fine otherwise apart from some possible drizzle about the southern border ranges overnight and into Thursday morning. Isolated showers will develop along the eastern Peninsula coast during Thursday. Generally moderate W to SW winds over the southern half of the state tending S to SE in the north. Winds becoming fresh and gusty SW'ly in the SE of the state later on today as a low forms of the northern NSW coast, gradually easing on Thursday as the low moves east. EXTENDED OUTLOOK Generally fine conditions through regions inland from the coast through the outlook period. Isolated showers are possible about exposed parts of the SE coast during Friday as winds tend more southerly from a high pressure system developing about the southern Tasman. Isolated showers should extend through to most coastal parts on Saturday as the high gradually drifts further east with winds freshening more SE'ly about the coasts.
