CWB Sets 2010-11 Final Payments

WINNIPEG - Dec 21/11 - SNS -- The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) finalized its 2010-11 pools, and is issuing final payments to farmers for the wheat, durum wheat and barley they delivered to the CWB pools during the 2010-11 crop year.

These payments represent the balance of the money owing to farmers after their grain has been marketed through the CWB pools, and after operating costs have been deducted.

Direct deposits will be made to farmers' accounts on December 22. Farmers who receive payment by cheque can expect to begin receiving them in the mail on December 30.

Final payments, in dollars per metric ton, for the base grades in each pool account are listed below. The total payment is based on the value of grain in store at Vancouver or the St. Lawrence.
