Hawaii Grows 6% Less CoffeeWASHINGTON - Dec 9/11 - SNS -- Hawaii coffee production is estimated at 8.30 million pounds (parchment basis) for the 2011-2012 season, down 6% from the previous season, according to the USDA's latest crop report. Growers continue to have problems with the Coffee Berry Borer and are working on ways to reduce its impact on production.
