U.S., Canada Price Spreads Wide
VANCOUVER - Sep 23/11 - SNS -- North American field pea markets finished the week with deep divisions in pricing remaining in place when comparing U.S. and Canadian origin product.
Markets in the United States, especially for split yellow peas, continue to be supported by USDA PL-480 food aid tender demand.
Some market participants note that nominal asking prices in the United States are more than double those for Canadian origin yellow split peas.
