Mixed Week in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Sep 2/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed performance during the past week, with markets in the United States strengthening, while those in Canada eased.
White proso millet and oil-type sunflower markets both advanced on the week, with millet markets gaining 50 cents per 100 pounds (cwt) in grower markets.
Part of the strength in sunflower markets comes from the fact crops are developing at a slower than normal pace this year.
