United States Grower Bean Index Review

VANCOUVER - Sep 1/11 - STAT -- The grower price index for dry edible beans grown in the United States at the close of the 2010-11 marketing year slipping 3% below the recent three year average.

For the season just ended, the Bean Index was 1001 points, compared to an annual average of 1035 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.

Analysis of the monthly pattern reveals the highest monthly average index level was 1351 points in August, while the lowest monthly average level was 807 points in September.
