Oriental Mustard Grower Price Review in Canada

VANCOUVER - Aug 1/11 - STAT -- Canadian Oriental Mustard markets finished the 2010-11 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 13% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.

The average price paid for Oriental Mustard was CDN$24.93 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $28.71 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.

Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $28.75 per cwt in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $20.75 per cwt in October.
