Upper U.S. Midwest Organic Grain and FeedstuffsDES MOINES - Jul 27/11 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.
Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending 07/23/11
For the following states: WI, MN, IA, SD, ND, NE, KS, MO
Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuffs were mostly higher,
with feed grade barley averaging lower this period. Grain trade was very
light this period due in part to the unusual high temperatures for this time
of year in the Upper Midwest. Extremely limited supplies of corn have
hampered trade as well, while interest in smaller feed grade grains this
period was less than the previous reporting period. Feed grade corn remains in
in good demand, with light demand reported for feed grade soybeans and barley.
Monthly and quarterly prices are located below. All prices FOB the farm gate
and negotiated spot market.
