Oat Inventories Dip 9%WASHINGTON - Sep 30/10 - SNS -- Oats stored in all positions on September 1, 2010 totaled 117 million bushels, 9% below the stocks on September 1, 2009, according to the USDA's stocks in all positions report. Of the total stocks on hand, 46.8 million bushels are stored on farms, 14% lower than a year ago. Off-farm stocks totaled 70.7 million bushels, 4% below the previous year. Indicated disappearance during June - August 2010 totaled 44.7 million bushels, compared with 48.8 million bushels during the same period a year ago.
