(All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens, except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second head and brewers are bulk.) By-products were uneven in the south and steady in California. In the south, long grain rice price quotes were steady, quoted mostly at 18.50-19.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 25.50-28.00; parboiled quotes were steady, quoted mostly at 21.50-24.00; second heads were steady, quoted mostly at 16.00-17.00; brewers were steady to instances 1.00 lower, quoted mostly at 13.50-16.00. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were steady to 10.00 higher; millfeed was unevenly 2.00 higher to 3.00 lower; hulls were steady to 3.00 lower. In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady; brewers were steady. Rice bran was steady; hulls were steady.
