Bullish Fever Grips LentilsVANCOUVER - Sep 11/10 - SNS -- Canadian lentils markets finished the week's trading consumed by a bullish fever over the weather systems which have halted harvest progress in Saskatchewan. There is a growing belief the percentage of No 2 or better lentils available from Canada could sink below 25%, even if quality in some of the unharvested fields is unaffected by disease and rain. As much as these fears are driving prices for No 2 better lentils higher, end users are now expecting offgrade lentils to be offered at a discount to U.S. origin No 2 or better product, resulting in bearish ideas about income potential of lentils for Canadian farmers.
