Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - May 6/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warnings Nil. Weather Pattern A strong high pressure system over the State will drift northwards over New South Wales on Thursday as a cold front approaches from the Bight. The front will move across southern Victoria late Friday. A low pressure trough will form west of the State on Friday and will approach western Victoria late Saturday. Victoria Tonight and Wednesday: Fine apart from isolated morning fog. Local early frosts then a mild day. Another sunny day in the north, but patchy high cloud is likely over southern districts. Light northerly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes. Thursday: Fine apart from isolated morning fog in the east. Mild and partly cloudy. Friday: Isolated showers developing in the south and northeast. Cool to mild. Saturday: Scattered showers on and south of the ranges, then in the west later. Cool to mild.
