MELBOURNE - May 5/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
WARNINGS: Strong wind warning for coastal waters from the Northern Territory border to Kuri Bay. Strong wind warning for coastal waters between Cape Naturaliste and Albany. STATE FORECAST Western parts of the Southwest Land Division: Isolated showers and thunderstorms extending south east during the day but clearing from the northwest. Falls in eastern parts will be light. Southwestern Gascoyne: Isolated showers and thunderstorms contracting to southern parts during the day. PERTH AND METROPOLITAN: A few thundery showers clearing later in the day. Moderate NE winds shifting NW in the afternoon. Possible squalls near thunderstorms. TUESDAY'S FORECAST TEMPERATURES: Perth: Min: 14 Max: 27 Mandurah: Min: 17 Max: 25 HEADLINE: Few thundery showers clearing. TUESDAY'S UV INDEX: 5 [MODERATE] MEDIUM RANGE FORECAST FOR PERTH FOR: Wednesday : Fine. Min: 14 Max: 26 Thursday : Shower or two. Min: 13 Max: 24 Friday : Fine.
