Weekly Export Inspections Total 51,838 BushelsWASHINGTON - May 5/03 - STAT -- Exports inspections of major grains and oilseeds at U.S. ports totalled 51,838 bushels during the week ending May 01, according to data compiled by the USDA. This lifted season today export clearances to 2,810,193 bushels so far during the current marketing campaign, down 370,721 bushels from the 3,180,914 shipped during the same period last season. Last week's volume leader was corn with 20,059 bushels shipped, followed by wheat with 17,947 bushels cleared. This lifted season to date shipments for corn to 988,323 bushels, compared to 1,194,995 last season; while wheat clearances now total 775,752 bushels, versus 913,065 last year.
