Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 3/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warnings
A strong wind warning is current for Victorian coastal waters east of Lakes
Entrance. 
Weather Pattern
A strong high pressure system will move over Victoria on Sunday and then will
persist near the east of the State for most of next week. 
Victoria
Sunday:    Isolated showers in Gippsland clearing during the day. A cool to cold
and mostly sunny day after local inland frosts. Light to moderate south to
southeasterly winds.
Monday:    Fine apart from isolated morning fog. Early frosts then a cool to
mild day.
Tuesday:   Fine apart from isolated morning fog. Early frosts then a cool to
mild day.
Wednesday: Fine apart from isolated morning fog. Early frosts then a cool to
mild day.
Forecast for Melbourne
Sunday
Fine and mostly sunny with a moderate southerly wind, tending southeasterly and
easing.

Monday
Fine. Early frost patches.                  Min 5    Max 19
Tuesday
Fine.                                       Min 6    Max 20
Wednesday
Fine.                                       Min 7    Max 22
Trend for Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Mainly fine. Cool to mild.
Forecast for Port Phillip and Western Port
Sunday:    Southerly winds at 10 to 15 knots, tending southeasterly and easing
to 5 to 10 knots during the day. Waves about 1 metre abating to half a metre.
Monday:    Variable winds around 5 knots.
Tuesday:   Variable winds at 5 to 10 knots.
Wednesday: Variable winds at 5 to 10 knots.
Headline Melbourne: Fine. 
Headline Victoria:  Isolated showers in the southeast clearing. Early inland
