Closing Boxed Beef Market Activity

DES MOINES - Jul 29/10 - SNS -- End of day market prices and volumes for the U.S. domestic boxed beef trade were reported by the USDA, showing prices and quantities traded for individual cuts.


NATIONAL DAILY BOXED BEEF CUTOUT AND BOXED BEEF CUTS - Negotiated Sales -
Afternoon

USDA ESTIMATED BOXED BEEF CUT-OUT VALUES - as of 1:30pm

Based on negotiated prices and volume of boxed beef cuts delivered within 0-21
days and on average industry cutting yields.  Values reflect U.S. dollars per
100 pounds.

Boxed beef cutout values lower on mostly light demand with light to moderate offerings.  Select and Choice rib and chuck items weak while round and loin
items generally steady. Beef trimmings lower on light demand and moderate to
heavy offerings.
