Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - May 1/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warnings Strong wind warnings are current for all Victorian coastal waters. Weather Pattern A strong high pressure system will persist south of the Bight over the next day or two then move over Victoria late in the weekend. A cold front will move through Bass Strait tonight then another stronger front on Saturday. Victoria Friday: Showers and drizzle patches developing in the south, mainly in the morning. Morning fog and frost patches inland. Generally cool with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh near the coast. Saturday: Scattered showers in southern and mountain districts. Fine in the north. Cool to cold. Windy. Sunday: Isolated showers in the south contracting to the southeast. Fine in the north. Cool to cold day after local early frosts.
