DES MOINES - Apr 7/10 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending      04/03/10

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were
lower with light demand and heavy offerings on feed grade corn,
soybeans and wheat. #2 yellow corn with test weights under 53
pounds ranged from $4.00-$4.25.  Many producers are seriously
considering selling their abundance of high moisture corn and
wheat on the conventional market as demand for organic grains
continues to weaken.  Many new crop contracts are complete and
far fewer contracts for wheat were available.  Soybean contracts
were also fewer than one year ago.
Monthly and fourth quarter average prices are located below. All
prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
