Dairy Product Markets Mixed
WASHINGTON - Mar 26/10 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States closed the week ending March 20. with mixed results, reveals the current USDA report on the sector.
Cheddar Cheese prices paid for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.33 per pound. The price per pound advanced $1.33 from the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.30 per pound, down 3.5 cents versus the previous week.
Butter prices realized for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.46 per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained 2.0 cents from last week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices received for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.04 per pound. The U.S. price per pound rose $1.04 versus the previous week.
