Monthly Canola Crush Record in February
OTTAWA - Mar 24/10 - SNS -- Canadian canola crush activity remained good in February, with the volume of seed handling up from year earlier levels to set a new record for that specific month.
During February, they processing 387,555 metric tons (MT) of canola, down 4.9% on the month but 12% above year earlier levels, according to Statistics Canada.
Oil production totalled 170,754 MT in December while meal production amounted to 215,981 MT.
