Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens, except
California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second head and
brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady to 1.00 lower in the south and
steady in California this week. By-products were uneven in the south and steady
in California.
In the south, long grain rice price quotes were steady to 1.00 lower, quoted
mostly at 23.50-25.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 29.50-
32.00; parboiled quotes were steady to instances 25 cents lower, quoted mostly
at 27.00-29.00; second heads were steady to instances 50 cents higher, quoted
mostly at 18.50-19.00; brewers were steady to 1.00 higher, quoted mostly at
17.50-18.50. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were steady to 10.00 higher;
millfeed was steady to 2.00 lower; hulls were steady to 2.00 higher.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady; short grain
prices were steady; second heads were steady; brewers were steady. Rice bran was
steady; hulls were steady.
