Dairy Product Markets Mostly StrongerWASHINGTON - Mar 19/10 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were mostly higher for the seven days ending March 13., shows the latest USDA data. Cheddar Cheese prices paid for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.39 per pound. The price per pound dropped 4.8 cents versus the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.34 per pound, up $1.34 from last week. Butter prices obtained for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.44 per pound. The U.S. price per pound rose $1.44 compared to last week. Nonfat Dry Milk prices paid for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.05 per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained $1.05 versus last week.
