Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 10/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to
be over Tasmania on Friday and Saturday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday
Isolated showers or drizzle in the south contracting to the coast this morning
and clearing this afternoon. Partly cloudy in the south, but mostly sunny north
of the divide. Cool to mild with mainly moderate south to southeasterly winds.
Fire Danger: Low to moderate.
Forecast for Friday
Fine apart from morning drizzle patches over the southeast. Patchy high cloud
over the northwest, but mostly sunny elsewhere. Mild with light to moderate
south to southeasterly wind, fresh near the coast during the afternoon.
Forecast for Saturday
Fine apart from morning drizzle patches over the southeast. A mild and mainly
sunny day with light to moderate south to southeasterly wind, fresh near the
coast during the afternoon.
Forecast for Sunday
Fine apart from early fog patches in Gippsland. Mild to warm and mainly sunny
with light to moderate east to northeast winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Thursday.
