Upper U.S. Midwest Organic Grain and Feedstuffs

DES MOINES - Mar 10/10 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending 03/06/10

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were mostly
steady with light demand and offerings. Feed corn with a 54 pound or less
test weight was reported from $4.80-$4.95/bushel. Moisture and test weight
issues continue to plague the Upper Midwest corn market and flooding concerns
have become imminent in some areas as the snow melts and spring rains begin.
Barley trade was slow during this period, as was wheat. Some producers are
contemplating selling their wheat on the conventional market as planting
season draws near and storage space is limited. Monthly and fourth quarter
average prices are located below. All prices FOB the farm and negotiated
spot market.
