U.S. Wheat Stocks Up 24% on Year
WASHINGTON - Jan 12/10 - SNS -- All wheat stored in all positions on December 1, 2009 totaled 1.77 billion bushels, up 24% from a year ago, reports the USDA.
On-farm stocks are estimated at 559 million bushels, up 23% from last December. Off-farm stocks, at 1.21 billion bushels, are up 25% from a year ago.
The September - November 2009 indicated disappearance is 444 million bushels, up 2% from the same period a year earlier.
