Chickpea Stocks Seen ShrinkingVANCOUVER - Dec 18/09 - SNS -- In its latest monthly review of Canadian chickpeas Agriculture Canada's market analysis branch in Winnipeg reports this year's seeded area totalled 175,000 acres and production 76,000 MT, versus 67,000 lst season. Agriculture Canada pegs exports for 2008-09 at 53,000 MT and is forecasting they will total 60,000 this season. Domestic use was estimated at 43,000 MT for 2008-09 and forecast at 68,000 MT this season. Season ending stocks estimated at 67,000 MT for 2008-09, and forecast at 20,000 MT for this season.
